sir,
    somehow prepositions is not working properly...
when im trying....
X is used instead of Y.
X is used alongwith Y.
X is in trouble because of Y.
X is used in place of Y......it is giving error!

however,sentences like,
X is used with Y.
X is married to Y....are working perfectly fine.

Although im using prepositions such as
with,alongwith,instead-of,because-of......
what could be the problem?
