Can you send me the snippet(s)? A delay might be caused by the fact that
the APE Web service could not be contacted, e.g. there was a problem with
internet connection. And maybe the APE Local has not been set up properly.
It's difficult to speculate without knowing the details...

The verbalization of SWRL rules is currently not implemented. The main
reason why I have delayed implementing this is that Protege 4.0 cannot
serialize SWRL rules in non-RDF XML. If I've understood correctly then P4.1
does not have this limitation. So I'll start working on this feature
once ACE View
is compatible with P4.1 (sometime late this year).
