The appliance is a minimal version of an AceWiki *server*. It
deliberately contains no GUI packages (no graphical shell or browser).

You should access it from the outside, i.e. from another (virtual or
physical) computer. The CD image is probably not the best way to use it.
I would suggest to use VMware or VirtualBox to run it as a virtual
machine and then to access it from a browser of the host computer. You
might need to set some parameters to make this work. Here I described

On the page where you can download the AceWiki server appliance, you can
see the passwords. For root it's "linux".
If you want to add more packages to the applicance (though I would
suggest you follow the path described above), you could clone the
appliance within Suse Gallery and then select more packages to be installed.
