Your version of Luke's sentence is not grammatically correct since each noun phrase in ACE requires a determiner. APE gives you this *error* message




Luke

Noun phrases with definite determiners could be anaphoric references to previously introduced noun phrases. However, English pragmatics requires often a definite determiner that is not an anaphoric reference. To cover this situation APE generates a warning whose text



exactly describes what APE does. If you want to avoid the warnings and keep the plurals you could, for example, write "... some guidelines and some requirements...". May I invite you to spend five minutes on "ACE in a Nutshell"?
